Are the villas in Mauritius equipped with air-conditioning?
Most of our properties are equipped with air-conditioning. A few villas may have central air while mostly, they simply cool the bedrooms. Please refer to the appropriate villa page for exact information.
Are there any restrictions regarding children?
That depends on the unique villa owner and the villa's child friendliness. If the villa has an unprotected pool for example, or is filled with breakables, then there will be restrictions. Some owners may place age restrictions or ask for liability waivers. Please refer to the appropriate villa page for exact information and look for "child friendly" in "features".
Who will greet us and give us the key to the villa?
Easyrent will have everything organised for your arrival. You may be greeted by the property manager, one of our staff or the villa owner depending on the villa. The keys will be handed to you in a few sets, and you will be showed around the house. At this stage, you may ask questions any matter pertaining to the specific property.
What are the Check-in and Check-out times
Normal check-in times are from 14h00 to 19h00 and checkout times are generally before 11h00.
For checkin's between 19h00 and 07h00 an additional fee of Rs 1,500 will be charged and may be paid directly to the person checking you in.
If you flight arrives early or leaves late, and you would like to assure an early check-in or late check-out, you will be asked to pay 50% of the nightly rate to assure availability.
Who cleans the villa? Is the maid included?
All of our villas are fully serviced. This means that the maid service is included in the price listed. Service frequency is usually 6 times weekly, but may vary from one property to the next. Please check the villa pages for all the details.
Is lined provided? How many times is it changed?
Yes, of course! Linen is always provided with every villa rental. Generally linen will automatically be changed three times weekly. To save water however, you may request that they be changed twice weekly. In the case they need to be changed, please inform your housemaid accordingly.
Are beach towels provided?
Yes, beach towels are provided with each property.
What is the cost to rent a villa?
There are villas and apartments in Mauritius for every budget. We offer secluded villas starting from around €150 per night, to hotel villas from €5,000 per night and everything in between.
Is there a minimum night stay?
Yes, depending on the season and the villa owners policy. For example, in Mauritius villa owners will usually not accept bookings of less than 5-7 nights. During peak holiday periods, minimums are usually in the vicinity of 10-14 nights.
Can we make a provisional booking?
Yes, we offer courtesy holds for provisional bookings of 48 hours with no financial obligations.
Are there weekly rates?
No, all our rates are based on a nightly basis.
Is there a daily meal charge?
Some villas include a chef, but most properties simply include a housemaid who will take care of daily housekeeping and may in addition prepare simple ( and delicious) local meals for a small additional fee. Some villas are completely self-catered.
Is it possible to add additional guests later?
Yes, if there is sufficient room. If there is a per guest or per bedroom charge, you will be billed for the additional costs.
Is the photo in the weblinks the exact villa we would be staying in, along with the views etc.?
Yes. All of our villas have their own individual pictures that represent that exact rental property. Villa specialists may even send you their personal photos from visits to the property.
Can we hire a cook while we are there?
Most of our villas have the option of adding cook services where none are included; costs vary by destination.
Is the pool shared with other guests?
If a villa has a pool, then chances are it is private. Occasionally, some may be shared with other guests in small villa communities. Please refer to villa features which will specifically list "private pool".
How far is the beach? Walking distance?
That depends on the villa. The beach may be private and right outside your door, as in a beach-front property, a short drive away, or a short walk. In our terms, "Beach-front" means right on the beach.
Is there Security on the premises?
Mauritius is generally a safe place to travel to and most villas will not include patrol security.
Generally each villa will have burglar bars or shutters on the windows as well as alarm systems to confirm to the Mauritius Tourism Board regulations, but crime at our villa locations is few and far between. VIP guests, however may request additional security if necessary.
Is there any night life around? How far away?
That depends on the villa and its location. Some villas are fairly secluded from the action, with the intent on providing maximum privacy. (specifically the East and South East Coasts) You may also rent a villa right in the heart of town and close to bars and restaurants. Generally Grand Bay and the North has the most nightlife. Often, our guests create their own entertainment wherever they may be. You may also drive from one place to the other or organize a "Night Out" through our concierge service.
Who would be our contact for anything we may need while we are there?
Depending on the villa, there might be a property manager or owner who lives on the property or very close by. The contact details of Easyrent's concierge service " Mr Concierge" are also provided to you when you travel.
Do you have any villa suggestions/recommendations?

Are baby cots available to rent?
Yes. Local agencies can provide baby gear to put in your villa where necessary, and our concierge service is happy to make those arrangements. Car seats are also available on request.
Is the price of the property per person?
No, all the villa prices are for the entire villa. Rates per night may be listed by bedroom, only as an offer of savings for you; the unoccupied rooms are never rented out to other guests.
What are some extra expenses (e.g. travel from airport to villa)?
The villa rental does not include food costs (unless there is a meal plan included), transportation, activities, tax or gratuities.
Is there holiday insurance to cover costs in case of bad weather?
No. Refunds are only given if the villa is rendered unlivable or if there are restrictions of entry.
How do I arrange for transportation?
Easyrent offers our clients a full concierge service, which can assist you in any way possible. Generally, transportation to and from the airport is available and arranged by the concierge before you travel.
How are groceries obtained?
We advise that you have the villa's pantries pre-stocked with a list you provide before arrival. Most villas have grocery stores nearby for pre-stocking and the villa's staff, where applicable, often provides the shopping service.
Do you offer discounted weekly rates?
Discounts are at the discretion of the property owner and we will advertise when they are being offered. Discounts may also be considered for stays longer than 14 nights and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
How much privacy will we have around the property?
Most of our properties are as secluded and private as your own home, often with land or vegetation providing a buffer. Some villas are built closer together where beach plots have been divided over the generations. Some resort community villas may be attached or semi attached, but remain private units for you and your guests only.
Will it be possible to renew our wedding vows? Can you help with arrangements?
Wedding ceremonies are possible depending on the villa and the location. We can have a local wedding coordinator get in contact with you to organize the details.
Do you have any villa suggestions (e.g. where we can play golf)?
Please visit the appropriate villa pages for all information concerning the different activities offered in the area. A villa specialist can also suggest a number of villas suitable for the kind of holiday you're looking for.
Is there Internet access at the Villa?
Most of our villas have Internet access; connection speed, costs and equipment available varies. Where Internet is not provided, it may be arranged through our Concierge Service.
Can you provide references from previous clients?
Yes, simply ask one of our villa specialists for references and we can put you in touch with a client who has rented with us before.

Is there Satellite TV?
TV options and channels vary depending on whether villas have French or English satellite TV. Please refer to the appropriate villa page or ask your villa specialist for that specific information.
Should you need to watch Satellite TV during your stay, please ask us to arrange this at least a week in advance.
